[PHOTOS] Tragedy Averted As Truck Filled With Diesel Almost Falls Off In Lagos














Another tragedy was averted this afternoon in Lagos as a truck filled with Diesel almost fell at Mosalasi busstop along Ipaja road in the state. LASEMA officials immediately stormed the scene and started diluting the diesel. The road has been closed from vehiclular movement so as to prevent another fire disaster.

A 34-year-old man named Nnamdi Ethelbert Ogidi has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police for kidnapping and raping old women in Imo State. He was apprehended on May 23, while negotiating a N20 million ransom for a victim, 74-year-old Regina Nkwocha. The suspect, popularly known as Bori, reportedly told the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the state police command, that his gang had kidnapped many persons, including 15 old women. The police were unable to arrest other members of the gang as they ran away. According reports, he said; “I am from Imo state and after dropping out of senior secondary school, I learnt how to become a mechanic. Along the line I met bad friends who initiated me into the deadly cult group known as Debam fraternity.
